Dr. Annessa Du is a therapeutic and glaucoma certified optometrist (TLG). She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from UC Berkeley School of Optometry where she received clinical training in primary care, advanced contact lenses, geriatric care, low vision, binocular vision and vision therapy. During optometry school, she served as Philanthropy Chair where she organized monthly vision screenings in underserved communities in need of eye care.
Having completed a residency at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs hospital in Long Beach, CA, she received advanced training in ocular disease, low vision rehabilitation, and traumatic brain injury. Dr. Du places a strong emphasis on listening to her patients’ needs, which allows her to effectively educate them on their eye conditions and treatment options.
As a Southern California native, she enjoys trying new restaurants, taking scenic day trips along the coast, and spending time with family and friends. She aspires to participate in a marathon race, and to volunteer aboard to help provide eye care to people in developing countries.
